28/02/2011 - SAP GRC: BUSINESS CONTENT FOR CONSUMER PACKAGED PRODUCTS

Organizations looking to implement SAP GRC will need to define and configure their key risks and associated controls, and doing this well can take a long time. Opteon and su53 Solutions have developed a unique collaboration that has enabled the design and build of a powerful and comprehensive library of risks & associated controls for SAP clients, optimized for CPG.

This “GRC Content” provides a comprehensive list of top CPG risks, plus KRIs, queries, and controls, delivered with a framework and methodology for implementation. Clients licensing the content will have best-practice enhancements, new functionality, and content support provided as part of an annual maintenance arrangement, ensuring that they stay at the front of efficient process compliance over time.

Organizations licensing the content can expect to deploy GRC far more quickly and, through the availability of best-practice, up-to-date and designed-for-GRC controls, can also expect to see considerable benefits in control operation cost reduction, reduced audit fees, and reduced control burden on users.

Martyn Proctor, su53’s Managing Director claims the collaboration has cut the development time of this comprehensive library by over 50%: “As soon as we got to understand SAP’s intent to use third party content for GRC, we decided to invest in building an international, modern, designed-for-the-job risk & controls library for the biggest market – CPG, and to integrate it with SAP’s Content Lifecycle Management. However it was only through extending our previous relationship with Opteon that we could see we’d be able to announce this at GRC2011 and have deliverable content in the first quarter of 2011. Opteon’s huge experience in controls development and their own library of controls have helped us hugely in this”.

Opteon’s Olivier Van Gompel agrees “We’ve been delighted at how we’ve worked together to accelerate this development: su53 and Opteon think the same way and have the same values – so it’s been easy to collaborate – and their massive leadership in SAP GRC has made sure we bring this to the market quickly and effectively”.

SU53 and Opteon are exhibiting, speaking and presenting in the Partner Showcase at GRC2011 in Las Vegas, 7th – 11th March 2011, and will be revealing more about GRC Content there.
